This project will be an interactive short film that tells the story of a man living far from home, who one day discovers a living sardine in a tin can. The sardine asks him to help it return to the sea, and along the journey, it shares its migration story.
Through this simple and unexpected encounter, the film explores the feeling of being far from home—between longing and confusion, without always knowing how to position oneself in relation to the idea of “returning home.” The character then begins to reflect on his own situation while listening to the sardine.Visually, the film combines 3D animation and stop motion: the sardine will be in 3D, while the rest will consist of slightly animated still images. The story will be narrated in voice-over by the sardine. The short film will be interactive: viewers will be able to make choices at certain moments, influencing the character’s decisions and the progression of the story.
